Do you have a question for our master painters or about our painting services? Let us answer the ones we get the most often.
Q: When should I get a paint job done?
A: We recommend summer for exterior painting because daylight lasts longer. The season gives us more time to finish. If you want to avoid the summer rush, late spring is also a good time.
For interiors, any time of year is a good choice, other than winter. Ventilation is necessary to keep the fumes from being a potential health risk, so we need the windows open at all times.
Q: When can you start?
A: We can put a crew together and start within 24 hours of a complete assessment. This will involve an on-site visit, so our team can figure out the amount of work required and highlight any areas of concern. We'll give you a time frame after the visit.
Q: How will you apply the paint?
A: The answer can vary based on your needs and the nature of the job. We'll go with what is best for any given area or situation.
Brushes are ideal for applying a coat on uneven surfaces, like bare walls without any plastering. Textured walls and hard to reach areas also require a brush.
Rollers are good for smooth surfaces and regions that need a smooth coat.
Spraying is used for areas that brushes can't access efficiently. Another instance where we might use a spray is if you want a high-gloss finish, which is where spray painting shines.
Q: Is there anything I should do before you start?
A: Clear the area of valuables, fragile items, furniture, and anything you don't want potentially discoloured. While we try to minimise damage and spilling paint, sometimes these things are unavoidable. We recommend clearing the space to make sure it doesn't happen.
